The view doesn’t fool you: this animal is capable of sliding across water. The Malaysian hydrosaurus (Hydrosaurus amboinensis), also called the sail glue lizard, water dragon or Soasian, is an indigenous reptile from Southeast Asia, with a small head and a wide hill. The most surprising thing about this animal is, however, its ability to walk on water: the hydrosaurus can briefly slide over the surface of the water before submerging and continue swimming, thanks to the combination of the water’s surface tension, speed and strength .
