The ascension of Henriette d’Angeville to Mont Blanc in 1838 is one of the most interesting stories of overcoming in the history of alpinism, as she was one of the first women to reach the top of the highest mountain in Europe at a time when that mountaineering was almost exclusively a male activity. That’s not the brake and I decided to make my own equipment with various items of clothing to maintain body heat, a corse and a shelter. Then, on August 3, 1838, he embarked on his ascent to the alpine colossus accompanied by a team of guides and bearers. When he finally reaches the top, his guides hold him in his arms to “elevate it higher than any man has ever reached”.
